Problems and countermeasures of non-destructive testing technology in construction engineering testing

 

1. Accuracy of test results

The accuracy of non-destructive measurement technology for construction engineering measurement needs to be improved. When using the impact reflection method to detect the thickness of a building engineering structure, there is a difference between the evaluation standard and the measurement result, and there are human errors in the operation process. When using electromagnetic waves to detect the placement of steel bars in concrete, there are great limitations, and it is not possible to identify multiple layers of steel bars.

In order to improve the measurement accuracy of non-destructive testing and ensure the accuracy of its measurement results, the choice of measurement method is critical. Pay attention to comparing the pros and cons of various test methods under different working conditions, and the degree of difficulty in implementation, and select the most suitable test method under this condition. Colleagues should pay attention to the use of multiple methods and comprehensive testing methods. Two or more detection methods are selected, and the two methods complement each other in the detection to improve the accuracy of the detection results.

2. Limitations of the application of non-destructive testing methods

The application of non-destructive testing methods in construction engineering testing has great limitations. The first is that the testing performance is relatively simple, and it is impossible to achieve a comprehensive assessment of the quality of construction projects. Second, the use of non-destructive testing methods lacks the support of relevant laws and regulations and has no legal status in engineering testing.

Efforts should be made to expand the testing content of non-destructive testing methods. In addition to being able to meet the detection requirements for detecting the damage to the internal structure of construction projects, research on other aspects of performance testing of non-destructive testing technology in testing the durability of building materials and other aspects must be strengthened. At the same time, relevant departments should pay attention to non-destructive testing, an advanced scientific testing method, and formulate relevant policies and regulations to improve the efficiency and accuracy of construction engineering quality testing.

With the rapid progress of science and technology, non-destructive testing technology has been widely used in construction engineering testing. It should be noted that there are still limitations in the application of non-destructive testing technology in construction engineering inspection, and there are still many problems that need to be resolved. On the road to the development and application of non-destructive testing technology, we must continuously summarize experience, correct shortcomings, and improve its practicality to ensure the quality of construction projects.
