Requirement for radiological protection in industrial X-ray

X-ray field inspection job partition setting requirements
1. When testing operations, partition management should be implemented in the workplace, and warning signs should be set at the corresponding boundaries.
2. Generally, the control area should be planned within the range of the surrounding dose equivalent rate in the workplace greater than 15uSv/h. If the actual start-up time per week is significantly different from 7h, the dose equivalent rate around the boundary of the control zone should be calculated as k=100/t.
K---Dose equivalent rate around the boundary of the control zone in micro-Shrwater per hour (uSv/h)
T---the actual boot time per week, the unit is hour (h)
100---5 mSv is evenly distributed to a value of 50 working weeks per year, ie 100 uSv/week.
3. The boundary of the control area shall be hung with a clearly visible "No Entry into X-ray Zone" warning sign. The inspection personnel shall operate outside the control boundary. Otherwise, special protective measures shall be taken.
4. During the work of on-site inspection work, other work should not be carried out simultaneously in the control area. In order to make the range of the control area as small as possible, the X-ray flaw detector uses a collimator, and partial shielding measures are used depending on the situation.
5. The boundaries of the control area set physical barriers as much as possible, including the use of existing structures, temporary barriers or temporary pull-up of warning lines.
6. The scope of the dose equivalent rate outside the boundary of the control area and the operation time is greater than 2.5uSv/h, and the warning zone shall be hoisted on the boundary of the "unrelated personnel are prohibited to enter". If necessary, special personnel shall be guarded.
7. When the on-site inspection work is carried out in a multi-floor factory or construction site, the personnel on the upper or lower level of the on-site inspection work area should be prevented from entering the control area through the stairs.
8. The flaw detector console should be placed in a suitable position or with a time-delayed start-up device to reduce the operator's exposure dose.
