During the welding process of the structural parts, there are residual internal stresses caused by thermal deformation, grain changes, etc., defects and discontinuities such as weld air bubbles and slag inclusions, residual external force or deformation stress during processing, and the material's own structure is not Continuous, anisotropic, etc., concentrated action will produce stress concentration in individual parts.

At these stress concentration positions during use, intergranular cracks and fatigue cracks are likely to occur due to temperature, medium, and varying external forces, resulting in cracking and the like.

The general inspection of welded parts is mainly the macroscopic evaluation of appearance, size, etc. The microscopic defects generated are difficult to find, so the welded parts that have an important influence on the performance of the product should be combined with non-destructive testing or multiple non-destructive testing methods test.
