Radiation detection

Radiation detection is most important to detect macroscopic geometric defects inside the test piece. Radiography refers to a non-destructive testing method in which a test piece is penetrated by X-ray or R-ray and a film is used as a device for recording information.

Radiographic procedure
Generally, the object to be inspected is placed at a disposal site of 50 cm to one m from the X-ray device, the film cartridge is placed close to the back of the sample, and the radiation is irradiated for a suitable period of time for exposure, and the exposed film is subjected to a dark room. Development, fixing, washing, and drying, the dried film is observed on the display screen of the viewing lamp, and the type, size and quantity of the defect are judged according to the blackness and image of the film, and then the defect is evaluated and classified according to the standard.

Portable X-ray detector

Pipeline ring weld X-ray film is usually used for transillumination
Single-armed single-arm: the source and film are located on both sides of the workpiece
